The visit also marked the opening of the Honorary Consulate’s new office in Cambridge. Discussions with Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll, the Massachusetts Office for International Trade and Investment, and meetings at Harvard University and MIT explored opportunities to expand cooperation in trade, innovation, education, and advanced research. The program also included exchanges with Romanian students, professionals, and community leaders in Boston, highlighting the important liaison role of diplomatic engagement in strengthening connections between institutions, talent, and economic opportunities within the Romania–U.S. Strategic Partnership. Strengthening Romanian-American Medical Cooperation The Ambassador of Romania to the United States was honored to receive an award from the Romanian-American Medical & Education Federation (ROAMEF), a recognition that reflects the shared commitment to strengthening collaboration between the Romanian andAmerican medical communities. Establishedin2026byagroupofaccomplishedhealthcareprofessionalsofRomanian origin working in major medical centers across the NewYork–New Jersey–Connecticut tri-state area, ROAMEF aims to expand community engagement, improve access to health resources, and foster advanced medical education and professional exchanges between the United States and Romania. The Embassy of Romania in Washington welcomes and supports such initiatives, which build bridges between professionals, institutions, and communities on both sides of theAtlantic.
